SSM

3rd August 2009
the last day of SSM, as the VIP server!
phew, i made it through somehow! lols

Its really unbearable to leave ssm,
i had lots of fun this whole sem
though, i need to wake up 5.30 am every monday,
need to stay home every sunday to study and prepare myself for ssm
need to gel and spray me hair every mon and my hair drop like nobody business
ITS STILL FUN!!!

SSM allowed me to have hands on experience in serving guests
I learnt a lot about service provider,
what is the proper way to be one, what is the requirements
and this subject build a character in me!

I missed my groupmates!!
we really really work together as a team in Sugarloaf and Top Table!
each of us have the initiative to help each other,
and to be excellent!
it just good to be in a same group as them =D

My project group was good too!
today is the first time i work with them,
though i cant help much too as i serving salt and pepper room ( a room for VIPs)
but i can see how they work with each other,
though at first there are problems with coordination with each other,
but we manage to pull it through!
=)

The VIPs in Salt & Pepper room were very friendly and nice!
they were the principals of 5 Polytechnics in Singapore include my school principal,
Mr.Boo.
They were very nice and seem to discuss a great deal of stuff, education related!
but i found out that Mr.Chia from Ngee Ann Poly was from JB too!
it felt so nice to know that!
and he told me to work hard too =D
I WILL!!!

I heard Sugarloaf group did well today, they manage to sell everything today!!
AWESOME!!!!

Thanks a lot to my tutor and instructors who have been teaching us!
Mr.Goh who have a lot of knowledge about the f&b industry, and is the stern one among the instructors. but sometime he just look cute like a teddy bear! hahas
I worked with him today to serve the VIPs table today,
it is an experience to see him work, the way he interact with the guest and when he actually hum to himself when he folding the waiter's cloth. ( the one u need to use to serve main course).
it seems that there is no need to be stress about, just relax.
I can do just fine!

Then there is Mr Malik who always check on every details but yet taught us a lot of stuff!
Mr Neo who is always the lenient one, so we like to approached him whenever we have doubts!
Ms Mark's trademark "Smile!", she always say this to us whenever we look stress!
Mr.Chong who always willing to teach and explain!
And never forget Mr Chan, out tutor, the most approachable tutor! =D

After the operation, Mr Goh gave each of us an individual feedback!
i was damn nervous as i was the last few, and mostly i worked w him today!

this is what he said:
"Emylee, do you know why i choose you to help me to serve the VIPs today?"
"No, Sir."
"to be frankly, if i throw this surprise to any one of them, (my other group mates)
they would have a hard time to accept it. But you, when u know that u need to smth,
u set ur mind on it and do it! You able to adjust to situation very fast. And she very task oriented ( he said to other ppl)"
"And I would say Emylee did a good job today, though she broke one of my 100 dollars show plate but accident do happens"

I felt so relieve and happy to heard that!
Its like all my hard work are paid off and it is worth it!
And ya, i felt damn sorry for breaking the plate, it is the first breakages!
sorry!!!!!!

It is seriously a great experience to learn and work in TCA.
I will really miss the time!

Quite regretted that we never take photo after my sub group last week at Top Table, before we were separated to separate project groups.
Here are the photos I took after operation today =D

Now I cant wait to dye my hair =D
